Given our care and dedication to supporting the communities in need, a Non-governmental Organization approached the Hands 4 Zero Poverty (H4ZP) team to request assistance. A single mother of three children was discovered living in the streets in dire need of help. The Non-governmental Organization needed an organization to temporarily care for the children while it provided the mother the skills required for her to stand on her own. Hands 4 Zero Poverty immediately took action by creating a temporary child care center to provide care for three children (Mini, Tanu, and Raj). Hands 4 Zero Poverty started the Little Hearts care center to provide these children with a warm and loving environment. Mini, Tanu, and Raj have since returned to the care of their mother after she successfully completed her training.

Why Little Hearts was important?
The center provided care and education to children who would be living in the streets otherwise. It helped keep children in school, getting the education we all deserve. It also provided an opportunity for a single mother to focus on getting the knowledge and empowerment to carry forward her family.

Who funded Little Hearts?
Little Hearts was entirely funded by donations.

How much was the cost, per month, the run the care center?
Rent: $154.
Caretaker: $185.
Food: $93.
Utility: $46.
Education: $46.
Others: $154 includes: Medical Care, Clothing, Cash reserves for emergencies.
Total: $678 ($226 per child per month).

It is not costly to assist a family in need. Projects such as this can have a significant positive impact on someone's life. At Hands 4 Zero Poverty, we will continue to seek and provide opportunities to people in need; however, we cannot successfully do this alone. We need support from our donors to continue funding these projects. If you are interested in the establishing-or supporting-a care center, contact us at info@h4zp.org.
