With our donors' support Hands 4 Zero Poverty (H4ZP) has had the opportunity to expand its projects in the slums beyond medical, education, and nutrition support. We have included the distribution of footwear, clothing, and blankets. Though these items may not seem significant at first glance in some poverty areas in India and worldwide, they are. For example, many slums in India are covered with garbage, garbage with sharp objects that can easily puncture a human being's skin, opening the opportunity for the development of a disease. People living in these communities have limited access to battle unnecessary illnesses. Moreover, low temperature during the winter seasons significantly impacts communities with little or no income. Many families in these communities do not have the necessary funds to properly protect them from low season temperatures.
